Want to help the accounting profession, but don't know where to begin?
Becoming a CPA Advocate is your first step!

Advocacy may seem intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. It starts with simply signing up to become a CPA Advocate.

As an Advocate, you’ll receive resources to help you stay informed about key legislative issues and learn how NECPAs is working to advance the CPA profession. You’ll get an inside look at what’s happening at your State House and gain a better understanding of how CPAs can make their voices heard.

We also encourage Advocates to connect with their legislators by introducing themselves and sharing their perspective. We can provide sample letters and helpful resources, or you can reach out in your own words. These conversations are an opportunity to build relationships with your elected officials and offer valuable insight on issues affecting the CPA profession.

Your voice matters. When lawmakers hear directly from CPAs, they gain a better understanding of the profession and the issues that matter to those who work in it.

Not ready to contact your legislators yet? That’s okay. You can still join the Advocate network to learn about issues affecting the profession and see how advocacy works. There’s no pressure to take action before you’re ready.
